The General Service Unit has been called in to help combat rising poaching in the country that has resulted to the death of 190 elephants and 34 rhinos in this year alone. The dreaded officers who are normally deployed to contain public disorder are part of an elite anti poaching crack unit launched in Nairobi and that also involves officers drawn from the administration police and Kenya Wildlife Service.
