A man wanted in three provinces in Northern Luzon for cattle rustling and robbery was arrested at his hideout in Central Balili, this province, the Police Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) said yesterday. Chief Superintendent Benjamin B. Magalong, police regional director (RD), confirmed the arrest of "Loloy Group" leader Lorenzo Binay-an Laoayan, 39, of Tinoc, Ifugao, and who carries a P140,000 bounty on his head.
Laoayan, who is wanted in the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao and Nueva Ecija, was nabbed by joint elements of the Police Provincial Offices (PPOs) of Ifugao and Benguet on the strength of a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 62 Judge Danilo Camacho in this town.
Due to the notoriety of the Loloy Group in cattle-rustling and holdups, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) offered reward money for its leader's arrest under DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2010-54.
