Six people were arrested on suspicion of hare coursing in Sawtry today. Police received reports that a number of people were acting suspiciously on land off Gidding Road at 8.20am.
Officers attended, and, with the assistance from the helicopter, arrested four men and two boys nearby.
The men, aged 24, 34, 36 and 42, and the boys, aged 12 and 15, have all been reported for summons to court for hare coursing/poaching offences under Section 30 of the Game Act.
Cash and two vehicles were also seized along with a dog.
The 24 year old was further arrested on suspicion of two distraction burglaries. He remains in custody at Huntingdon Police Station.
