Poachers killed another one horned rhinoceros and fled with its horn in Assam's Kaziranga National Park (KNP) on Saturday, officials said.
The incident took place near Matlong camp under Agoratoli forest range office inside the park, where poachers killed the adult rhino.
"Forest guards found a de-horned rhino carcass inside the park near Brahmaputra river," a park official said.
"Poachers killed the rhino by using sophisticated weapons and managed to flee with its horn in the wee hours of Saturday," the official said.
Poachers killed five one horned rhinos in KNP this year so far.
According to Assam forest department records, poachers killed a total of 40 rhinos last year in the state.
