Orapa Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mine - General Manager, Adrian Gale, has raised concerns about poaching in the Orapa game park.
Gale said the poaching has a potential to threaten endangered species such as rhinos.
Gale said during a media tour of the mine last week, that although there was no incident where rhinos were killed, some poachers were arrested in the park, for poaching other animals.
He said the mining company is ready to protect the endangered species following the translocation of white rhino’s lately from South Africa.
Gale told of their intention to make the park a breeding ground for endangered species and plans to it.
He stated that white rhinos were introduced to the park following spiralling rhino poaching incidents in South Africa, which threatened the existence of the rhinos.
