Five men have been convicted of poaching offences which took place in Wallingford last year.
The five men; George Michael Bradford, aged 25, of Foster Street, Walsall, Jason George Bradford, aged 42, of Foster Street, Wallsall, Patrick Joseph Connors, aged 23, of Peeks Brook Lane, Surrey, William Gary Roper, aged 26, of Turnpike Road, Axbridge and Montgomery Lee, aged 27, of Downs Road, Witney, were convicted at Oxford Magistrates Court on 22 April.
Each of the men received a fine for £400 in addition to a £40 victim surcharge with other court costs totalling £740 each. The vehicle involved in the offence that happened at 8.55am on 31 October, was seized at the time of the offence for which the courts have imposed a forfeiture order.
PC Becky Tanner said: “This is an excellent result which sends out a strong message to those who may be inclined to commit similar offences.
“We have a robust approach towards poaching offences in this Local Policing Area and the conviction makes that resoundingly clear.”
