We prefer to focus on the future--"one step at a time"--and we are eager to see long-anticipated changes come to fruition in the way ALL animals, everywhere, are perceived and therefore treated.
It's a lengthy, arduous fight, however--there's no question about that--but, with more and more people joining the "animal rights movement," we are hopeful that things will get better. Probably not right away, or everywhere, but incrementally, bit by bit, in certain locales and then will spread elsewhere. This is a normal process, and it's unrealistic to think things will change all at once and everywhere at the same time.
Please remind your friends it's vital to spread the word, which they can at least start by becoming familiar with the myriad issues that effect animals; and they can do that by simply monitoring sites such as NoAnimalPoaching.org and many others.
Likewise, it unfortunately takes money, and we're no exception. To continue getting the word out, we DRASTICALLY need to build a better, more stable/functional website because the current one is a disaster and it's deteriorating more and more with each passing week. If you can help out, we'd be both delighted and grateful. (FYI--just one example--the reason we must now hypertext the entire page on this site is, again, because our host's software is a mess, and, as such, all our RSS feeds & e-mail subscriptions aren't even readable in plain text! Yes, we really, REALLY do need to build a better site, and that takes money we simply do not have.)
That said, we wish you all the very best for coming year. Please remember: Nobody can do it alone, though. It takes time and teamwork!!
