Livestock farmers in Malalani, Kitui county, have threatened to kill more than 20 invading hyenas.
They said they will poison the animals if the Kenya Wildlife Service does not act, since they have killed 250 goats.
Their chairman and former councillor Wambua Mulwa said KWS makes empty promises.
Mulwa said KWS takes too long to compensate farmers whose livestock is killed by wild animals.
