A man was yesterday charged with having 300kg of zebra meat without a permit from the Kenya Wildlife Service.
Samuel Kamau was allegedly found with the meat worth Sh120,000 on August 31, at Suswa on the Narok-Mai Mahiu road.
He was arrested at a road barrier as he and another person were allegedly transporting the meat.
Kamau denied the charge before Narok acting principal magistrate Alex Ithuku.
He was released on Sh500,000 bond.
The case will be heard on October 13.
