XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in the shooting death of a Bald Eagle.
The reward of $3,700 was donated by two individuals.
The eagle was found northeast of Eaton in Preble County in February. It was estimated to be two to three years old.
Bald and Golden eagles are a protected species.
Anyone with information about the ‘Preble County Bald Eagle Poaching Case’ should contact 1-800-POACHER.
The reward will be awarded once the case is completely through the court system.
