South African activist group Outraged Citizens Against Poaching published this graphic comparing monthly rhino poaching statistics on May 14 2014.
The graph was compiled from official figures, released by the Department of Environmental Affairs, and unofficial reports from state and private game reserves around the country.
Official figures released by the department on May 14 showed at least 60 rhinos were poached in the flagship Kruger National Park between April 9 and May 14. A total of 245 rhinos have been killed in the Kruger, and 376 around the country, since the start of 2014.
