Controversy’s favourite Khan, Salman, may have turned a new leaf but his past transgressions do return to haunt him from time to time. Salman will next have to appear in a Jodhpur court on the 15th of April for a hearing on his infamous blackbuck poaching case.
Back in 1998, the Jai Ho stud was accused of hunting and poaching two blackbucks near Jodhpur during the shooting of his film Hum Saath Saath Hain. Charges of carrying illegal arms were also leveled against the actor who has always vehemently denied all allegations.
A number of Sallu’s Hum Saath Saath Hain co-stars including Saif Ali Khan also face charges for instigating Salman. But if things take a wrong turn on the 15th, it will be Salman who will have to take the biggest fall. He has already spent time in the Jodhpur jail twice, first in 1998 and then again in 2007.
While this isn’t the only legal battle Salman is involved in, the star will surely be hoping for some relief from this case.
