Police have issued a six-to-six ban on meat transportation in Subukia, Rongai and Mogotio to curb livestock thefts.
Livestock officers David Koskey (Rongai), Phillip Nzungo (Mogotio) and Jackson ole Chuta (Subukia) said they will arrest any person violating the ban.
They met residents at Kamosop on Saturday.
Chuta said 800 animals were stolen in the last five months and 300 recovered.
“The ban will curb livestock theft, which is increasing poverty,” he said.
“I urge residents to help identify the culprits.”
