A 52 year old man will spend five months in jail and have to fork over $10,000 after shooting a Sow Grizzly Bear and her cub in 2010.
Frank Kucher was convicted of five counts under the Wildlife Act for an incident in Hinton back in October, 2010. He’ll also have a nine year hunting ban. Kucher is facing two counts of Hunting out of Season, two counts of Abandoning the Carcass and one count of Unlawful Possession of Wildlife.
The Edmonton Fish and Wild Life office received a tip that Kucher had a Grizzly Bear head in his garage. The next day, officers showed up and seized the remains.
