State wildlife officials are looking to the public for help as they investigate a pair of poaching cases in Northwest Montana.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Warden Sgt. Nathan Reiner is looking for information on the incidents that happened late in the general big game hunting season.
FWP spokesman John Fraley said that on the evening of Nov. 22 or in the early morning hours of Nov. 23, someone shot and left to waste a cow elk near Montana Highway 83 and Soup Creek Road in the Swan Valley.
The second poaching case happened on the night of Nov. 30 or in the early morning hours of Dec. 1 when someone shot and left two whitetail bucks on Kuhns Road.
The suspect vehicle may be a dark-colored sedan, possibly dark blue.
Anyone with any information on either of these cases can call 1-800-TIP-MONT, or contact FWP Warden Sgt. Nathan Reiner at (406) 751-4592.
