The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is asking the public for tips on a mule deer buck that was poached near between Cheyenne and Laramie.
The young buck was found Sunday, Nov. 24, on the western shore of Crystal Reservoir. It had been dead for several days.
Game Warden David Ellsworth says the antlers had been removed about an inch above the base. He says the antlers were hacked up and appeared to have been removed with a dull hatchet.
No meat was removed from the buck. This is the third time a mule deer has been poached in the area this season.
