The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking information on a mule deer that was shot and abandoned along Highway 210 near Crystal Reservoir earlier this month.
Cheyenne Game Warden Nick Roberts said the buck mule deer was discovered about 30 yards off the road at the intersection of Highway 210 and County Road 106 (Ferguson Ranch area) on Nov. 10. It was killed with a single shot to the neck and was probably shot around first light that morning. The buck was most likely shot from the road, he said. Shooting from established roads and abandoning big game carcasses are illegal in Wyoming.
Anyone with information on the case should Roberts at 307-777-4585 or the Stop Poaching Tip Line at 1-877-WGFD-TIP (1-877-943-3847). Tips can also be reported online at www.wgfd.wyo.gov; click on the “stop poaching” logo.
