Anti-poaching prevention measures have been stepped up in Issyk-Kul province. The press service of the Kyrgyz Government’s Authorized Representative in Issyk-Kul province informed.
According to its data, from October 15 of 2013 up to January 15 of 2014 there were declared three months of fight against poaching, aimed at strengthening of anti-poaching preventive measures, increase in natural resources and ecosystems protection.
The Kyrgyz Government’s Authorized Representative in Issyk-Kul province Emilbek Kaptagayev noted that owing to coming hunting season poaching is spreading very fast in mountain areas. Interregional directorates of the State Ecological and Technical Security Inspection, Hunt Department Agency in Issyk-Kul province and other hunting recourses streamlining institutions don’t ensure proper system monitoring of the areas. As a result cases of poachers’ detention and bringing them to responsibilities have considerably reduced.
Mass felling trees on the shores of lakes, rivers, at the roadside, in the woodland belt will start in winter and from the beginning of spawning illegal fishing of valuable breeds will increase.
