Two men have been sentenced to jail and received thousands of dollars in fines and penalties for poaching mule deer out of season.
Matthew Mulcare of Moorcroft will serve 35 days in jail, pay almost $12,000 in fines and restitution plus lose his rifle and hunting privileges for killing two deer in the Pinedale area about a year ago.
Joel Newberry of Gillette was with Mulcare and was convicted as an accessory to poaching.
He will serve 19 days in jail and pay over $5,000 in fines.
Trash the men left in the area of the poaching helped lead to their convictions.
