Animal Poaching: The Americas
Although most people associate the word "America" with the United States, the entire landmass--from the most southern tip of Tierra del Fuego to the northern reaches of Ellesmere Island--from Chile/Argentina to Canada--is known as The Americas. Also included are the many Caribbean islands. Greenland, although physically "near" to portions of northern Canada, is nominally a part of Denmark and thus is found on the Europe page. Because this is a massive land area--it's roughly 8,000 miles from Tierra del Fuego to northernmost reaches of Nunavut, or about one-third the circumference of the planet--this large area has been subdivided here into two, separate pages: Canada and The United States & Latin America, which is everything south of the US, including the Caribbean. Also, since I've broken-down the US by state, with separate links to each state, one, all-inclusive set of links to all of the political entities within The Americas would be too cumbersome and too cluttered (untidy).
