Bushmeat extraction is rampant around protected areas in Africa. It is believed to be an important driver of population declines of both herbivores and carnivores. Martin will discuss some measures he has been involved in resolving bushmeat problems in eastern Africa. This work has been funded by the USFWS Wildlife without Borders-Africa through the Bushmeat-free Eastern Africa Network (BEAN).
Students are encouraged to attend.
